Terms of Service.

By accessing the VAC website, reading the documentation, or downloading and using the VAC software, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the software or the Site.

VAC (Vojir's Awesome Containers) is open-source, self-hosted software for deploying applications, databases, and services to your own server. You download it and run it on infrastructure you control. We provide the software, the website, and the documentation at vac.vojir.io.

VAC is under active, early-stage development. APIs and behavior may change without notice, and it is not yet recommended for production-critical workloads.

The VAC source code is released under the open-source license stated in its repository. Your use, modification, and distribution of the code is governed by that license, which you can find alongside the source at github.com/vojir-mikulas/vac. Where the license and these Terms differ regarding the code itself, the license controls.

Because VAC runs on your own infrastructure, you are solely responsible for the server it runs on and everything you do with it. This includes:

• Securing your server, credentials, and network.
• Keeping backups and being able to recover your own data.
• Anything you deploy with VAC and any data it processes.
• Complying with all laws and third-party terms that apply to your deployments and users.

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or overload the Site or its infrastructure.
• Use the Site to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful content.

While the source code is open-source under its license, the VAC name, logo, and branding remain the property of Mikuláš Vojíř and may not be used in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without prior written consent.

VAC and the Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No software is perfect: bugs happen and things occasionally break. We do not guarantee that VAC will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mikuláš Vojíř shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use VAC or the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. VAC is free, open-source software offered to the community, and you use it at your own risk.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or the project at any time, without prior notice. Since VAC is self-hosted, any copy you've already installed continues to run on your own infrastructure regardless.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its last-updated date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
